Leadership coaching

Leadership can be demanding, complex and isolating

Senior leaders are expected to make consequential decisions, remain composed under pressure and provide direction to others, often while carrying uncertainty, conflict and responsibility that cannot easily be shared.

I provide confidential, psychologically informed coaching for CEOs and senior leaders who want to think more clearly, strengthen their leadership and perform sustainably without losing sight of themselves or the people around them.

What leadership coaching can help with

Leadership coaching provides a private space to examine both the practical demands of the role and the patterns that influence how you respond to them. The work is reflective, focused and connected to the real decisions, relationships and responsibilities you carry.

  • Clarifying difficult decisions and competing priorities
  • Building confidence without becoming rigid or defensive
  • Managing stress, pressure and the early signs of burnout
  • Navigating conflict with boards, executives, colleagues or staff
  • Understanding how your communication and behaviour affect others
  • Leading through change, uncertainty or organisational disruption
  • Managing the loneliness and emotional burden of senior responsibility
  • Recognising personal patterns that limit effectiveness
  • Strengthening judgement, boundaries and leadership presence
  • Defining the kind of leader you want to become
Approach

A psychologically informed approach

My approach brings together executive reflection, counselling and psychotherapy experience, adult education and practical organisational understanding. This allows us to work with both the visible leadership challenge and the less visible emotional, relational or behavioural patterns that may be shaping it.

The purpose is not to analyse you from a distance or impose a leadership formula. It is to help you develop greater awareness, make more deliberate choices and translate insight into meaningful action.

Clarifying the work

Coaching or counselling?

Leadership challenges do not always fit neatly into one category. A decision-making difficulty may be connected to confidence, conflict, exhaustion, identity or earlier patterns of responding under pressure.

We can clarify at the outset whether the work is primarily leadership coaching, therapeutic support or a considered combination. The focus, boundaries and goals are agreed openly rather than assumed.

  • Executives and senior leaders
  • Leaders moving into a larger or more exposed role
  • Leaders navigating major change, conflict or uncertainty
  • Capable leaders who are performing but carrying too much alone
  • Leaders seeking meaningful growth rather than a generic coaching program
Getting started

How the work begins

The first conversation is an opportunity to understand what is happening, what you want to change and whether my approach is a good fit. Where we decide to proceed, we agree on a clear focus while leaving room for the work to respond to what emerges.

Coaching is available in person across Northern New South Wales, the Gold Coast and Brisbane, and online across Australia.
