Why a lighthouse
A lighthouse does not come out to meet the ship. It stands where it is, in the weather, and gives you something reliable to steer by. That is close to the honest limit of what this work does, and it is more useful than it sounds.

I have more than 22 years of experience in education and training, and 17 years in counselling and psychotherapy. My approach combines person-centred and trauma-informed practice with practical organisational analysis.
I have delivered workplace mental health, leadership and psychological safety training across corporate, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality and community settings.
The two halves of the work belong together. A great deal of what walks into a therapy room from a workplace was shaped by that workplace, and organisations get further when someone in the room understands both.

A few things that hold across all of it
I will tell you if I am not the right person. Referring someone on costs me an hour and saves them months.
Plain language. If you leave a session unsure what was just said, something has gone wrong.
Assessment before conclusions. In organisational work in particular, I will not tell you which manager, team or system is responsible before the work has been done to find out.
